We are looking for a location....
We are looking for a location for a special adult cat adoption event. If someone owns or knows someone that owns their own business and would be willing to let us hold the adoption event at their business, please email us at volunteer@adoptarpo.org.
November Volunteer Activities
November is here and we need your help at our regular adoption events:
* Castleton Petsmart – 82nd & Allisonville Road: November 6th, 13th, 20th. No adoption event will be held on November 27th due to Thanksgiving.
* Petco in Carmel – 116th Street near Keystone Avenue: November 13th. No adoption event will be held on November 27th due to Thanksgiving. All times for the above days are from 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to help set up.
* Pet Products Super Store – Oaklandon Road & Fox Road – Geist area: November 20th. The time for this location is 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to help set up.

Upcoming Events: In December, we will be having Picture Your Pet With Santa at the Castleton Petsmart, 82nd & Allisonville Road on December 4th, 5th and 11th with two shifts from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. and 2 P.M. to 5 P.M. We will need someone to play Santa so please ask your husband, boyfriend or significant other to see if they would like to play Santa. We also welcome female Santas! Please let us know if you could spare a couple of hours for this fun event to help the animals.
Mike's Car Wash tickets
We will be selling Mike's Car Wash tickets in order to raise money for the animals. If you would like to participate in this, please stop by Petsmart and pick up a packet. We have until the end of November to sell these!
Revised Adoption Fees
$30 for adult cats (any over 6 months of age) ***** $90 for kittens (under 6 months) ***** $150 for 2 kittens ***** $90 for puppies and dogs of any age
Humane Society oked to violate will and take loan
From Move to Act ***** 10-14-04 Today's court events were that: (Upon arrival and peering into the court room, there was a lot of jolliness between HSI and AG parties). The Honorable Judge Dieter allowed our attorney, Veronica Jarnigan, to make THE ultimately compelling presentation (which was tight, articulate, specific, brilliant and God-blessed sensible, - what a surprise... on why the court should consider listening to some God-blessed, sensible, informational help regarding a "hoodwinking" effort at the Crume collateralization) but denied her/our "friend of the court" assistance!!!! The amicus bried was not allowed to be heard. ***** The Attorney General did an about-face (as we had expected and which is why the appeal has been prepared). Judge Dieter allowed the collateralzation WITHOUT security back to the trust. ***** No U.S. court has ever allowed the principal of a public benevolent trust to be pledged, mortgaged, or otherwise encumbered without a corresponding exchange of value (as in re-investment) or without adequate security back to the trust. ***** The resulting arrogance and confidence today was suffocating ..., almost. If you had been present today to witness this incredible charade, (and I cannot think of a better description), you would understand, even more so, how profoundly troubled are our city's/society's players. **** Upon looking around the courtroom this afternoon - if you didn't know anyone in that room - you would be able to tell - by looking at them - ...to whom you would be able to entrust the life of an animal. ...and that would tell you to whom you would entrust anything, especially millions of animal service dollars. ***** We can't help but be grateful that we are who we are, and especially that we are just warming up!! ***** We appreciate the support of ARPO, SNSI, Southside and Home for Friendless Animals!!!!

Bring Us Your Empty Printer Cartridges
Cash for Critters is a fundraising program. With this program, ARPO collects empty ink jet and laser printer cartridges. We will receive cash for the cartridges collected -- $2 for most ink jets and $1-12 for lasers based on styles. Please turn in your cartridges to any ARPO Board member at any adoption event.
