The Alliance for Responsible Pet Ownership has joined a group of dedicated Central Indiana pet rescue groups to form the Circle City Animal Allies.
In an effort to better the lives of future generations of Indianapolis pets, the Circle City Animal Allies has adopted a bold vision - to become a no kill city.
The Allies aims to achieve this goal through pet adoption programs and spay/neuter initiatives.
As part of this effort, the Allies participating organizations have agreed
to a uniform reporting of animal statistics using the Asilomar Accords model.
The collection and publication of this data is sponsored by Maddie's Fund.
Maddie's Fund®, The Pet Rescue Foundation is a family foundation funded by PeopleSoft Founder Dave Duffield and his wife, Cheryl, to help create a no-kill nation. The first step is to help develop programs that guarantee loving homes
for all healthy shelter dogs and cats throughout the country. The next step will be to save the sick and injured pets in shelters nationwide. Maddie's Fund is named
after the family's beloved Miniature Schnauzer who passed away in 1997.
